Sony strukturiert PS Plus um Der Abo-Dienst werde ab Juni in PS Plus Essential, PS Plus Extra und PS Plus Premium unterteilt. Für normale Spieler und Spielerinnen der PS5 und PS4 bedeutet das erst mal keine Veränderung. Bestehende Mitgliedschaften werden in ein Abo von PS Plus Essential umgewandelt. Zahlt man aber fortan einen Aufschlag für PS Plus Extra oder Premium, bekommt man Zugriff auf knapp 400 Gratis-Spiele. Sony gab nun die ersten Titel für PS5 und PS4 bekannt. Ubisoft kündigte unterdessen an, ihren eigenen Premium-Dienst Ubisoft+ auf die Sony PS5 bringen zu wollen. Auch Ubisoft+ soll Teil des neuen Angebots von PS Plus Extra und Premium werden. Nutzer von PS Plus Essential sollen keinen Zugriff auf Ubisoft+ erhalten. Damit gelingt Sony ein ernstzunehmender Angriff auf das Konkurrenzprodukt von Microsoft. Gerüchten zufolge sollte nämlich eigentlich der Xbox Game Pass Zugriff auf Ubisoft+ erhalten und nicht PlayStation Plus.
