Hideo Kojima hat erklärt warum die neue Metal Gear Solid: Legacy Collection nicht auf Xbox 360 erscheinen wird, übersetzt von Kotaku.

„I’m sorry to say an Xbox 360 version isn’t being released, because an Xbox 360 version of MGS4 hasn’t gone on sale,“ he explained. „To explain the situation, the amount of data in MGS4 is just too enormous.“

Laut Kojima würde es 7 DVD’s brauchen um Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots auf Xbox 360 zu veröffentlichen.

Kojima hat aber keinen Next Gen Release augeschlossen:

„When it’s the next [Xbox] console, maybe we can release [The Legacy Collection],“ he said. „If we released a version on the Xbox 360 without MGS4, then it’s not The Legacy Collection.“

Die Collection erscheint in Japan im Juni und wird diese Spiele beeinhalten: Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 3, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions and Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition.

Ein Release für Europa ist noch nicht bekannt. Wir freuen uns auf jedenfall auf die Edition!
